2 Kings 6:16 (KJV) “…Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.”
It’s easy to look at the circumstances around us and worry about what will happen next.
These days the news channels constantly badger us about everything depressing in the world.
If we’re not careful, we can become extremely pessimistic.
In Luke 21:9-11 Jesus reminds us that earthquakes will occur in many places, famines will break out across the globe, nations will come against each other, and we will hear of and witness wars, but we should not be terrified.
Of all times, now is a good reason to trust in the Lord.
When the world seems like it is falling apart, our heart should be secure knowing God is not wringing His hands about anything; He is in control.
Luke 21:28 (KJV) continues, “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up…for your redemption draweth nigh.”
In other words, have peace.
We are not given control over Nature and all the chaos she can bring; and even with all our preventative measures, terrible things are bound to happen.

Good news is, we have a God who promises to keep us in His arms—His angels are on our side.
2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV) states, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
Fear is not a godly characteristic.
The Lord doesn’t want us to run around frantic and uncertain.
Whenever you start to feel nervous about the future or scared of all the disasters that seem to rage around you, remember that it’s only the enemy trying to get into your head. Try counteracting this emotional attack by speaking positive words of faith and watch those fears melt away.
Let the earth tremble while your hope remains unchanged.
