I had to honestly ask myself, cliche as it seemed: “Who do you want to please more, God or other people?”
As Isaiah 59:19 (KJV) claims, God will raise a standard in our hearts. He’ll give us a backbone if we stick our necks out for Him just once.
When we lower our standards on our values, others lower their respect for us.
If we compromise on our beliefs because we are avoiding the possibility of offending people, how effective can our testimonies be if they are always changing?
The more we resist the enemy, the less he can bother us (James 4:7). Undoubtedly, this will feed our faith to proudly dress in Christ’s brand name.
Don’t sell yourself short. Don’t water down God’s conviction in your life–you know you’ve got something good.
Whatever your personal, moral standards are, make them immovable; may they endure all temptation to cave in.
Be that person others hold in high regards, knowing you’ll never be one to back down.
